Brent England

BRENT ENGLAND has been the Associate Director of Bands at North Central High School since 2005. Ensembles under the direction of Mr. England have earned consecutive Gold Ratings at the Indiana State School Music Association Concert Band Contests each year.

 

Brent Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an emphasis on Orchestral Percussion Performance from The Indiana University Jacob'sSchool of Music. In 1997, the Faculty awarded him the Performer’s Certificate, an honorary diploma recognizing outstanding achievements in musical performance. While pursuing a Master of Music degree at Indiana, Brent served as the arranger, instructor, and graduate assistant for the Indiana University Marching Hundred Drumline, and was an Associate Instructor for the Percussion Department. During this time, he was also a Director of Percussion, arranger, and cast member of the Star of Indiana production of Brass Theater from 1996-1998. The show toured and performed nationally, and completed two stays in Branson Missouri at The Grand Palace Theater.

 

In 1991, Brent was a member of the Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps, winning the Drum Corps International World Championship title, as well as the DCI Division I High Percussion award.

 

Brent continues to be an active performer, educator, and arranger throughout theMidwest. Professional memberships include Indiana Music Educators Association, Indiana Bandmasters Association, and The Percussive Arts Society.

 

Brent is a proud member of the Vic Firth Educational Team, and exclusively uses Vic Firth Drumsticks and Mallets, Evans Drumheads, Sabian Cymbals, and Ludwig Drums.
